Welcome to Samantha's Tidepool. Come paddle around with us as we explore politics, philosophy, science and creativity. There are, as in all things, a few rules, and they are as follows:
1) All feelings and thoughts are welcome. However, neither threats nor ad hominum attacks will be tolerated. They disrupt and destroy civil discourse and are designed to prevent the free flow of information.
2) Lying and promoting agendas through lying are deeply frowned upon.
3) Check your information for its veracity and provenance. Fact checking is a great way to learn and share the right stuff.
4) Have a great time and feel free to express what you really think and feel. I do not censor ideas. I do insist that they be expressed with respect and courtesy.
5) Folk who choose to ignore the above will be banned. I will always limit my banning of anyone to 1 day for the first 3 breaches, unless someone is being personally attacked. If that does not work, the person will be banned once for a week, then once for a month. After that, the ban will be permanent.
